Windfall was founded in 2015 and quickly established itself as a leading provider of data-driven insights and solutions for businesses of all sizes. Their platform uses advanced data science and machine learning algorithms to provide clients with comprehensive insights into their customers, prospects, and market opportunities. However, the complex nature of their solution and the technical language used to describe it often left potential clients confused and unsure of how Windfall could help them. Compounding this challenge is the fact that their existing brand lacked a consistent visual language that would support these efforts.
Solution 
To address this issue, the VSSL team first needed to elevate the Windfall brand to create greater distinction from their competitors and allow for stylized visualizations of their product functionality that would also inform. This initial art direction was a critical first step to develop a consistent treatment for all the graphics on the site.
From there, VSSL worked closely with the Windfall team to conduct a thorough analysis of their existing website content, marketing materials, and product functionality. The VSSL team used this process to identify several key areas where custom graphics could be used to improve the overall clarity of the Windfall solution. These included:

Working from a high-level outline from Windfall, VSSL developed a series of graphics that simplified the process into four discrete steps and then animated those together as the user scrolled down the page. This visual story made it easy to understand how marketers could identify the right audiences, activate them, and measure the results.</li>
<li>Data Visualization: Windfall&#8217;s platform generates a vast amount of data and insights, which can be overwhelming for users to digest. VSSL addressed this with a series of visually engaging graphics that allowed users to quickly and easily understand complex data points and trends.</li>
<li>Product Functionality: One of the challenges faced by Windfall was explaining how their platform worked and how it could help businesses to achieve their goals. VSSL created a series of graphics that illustrated key product features, such as data enrichment, lead scoring, and segmentation, in a way that was easy to understand and visually compelling. In addition, VSSL simplified how the UI was conveyed to make key concepts easier to understand while creating just enough obfuscation to keep some details hidden from competitors.</li>
<li>Hero Images: VSSL also developed hero images that distill the user journey down to a single eye-catching graphic that reflected the updated branding. On the homepage, the graphic shows a representative audience member, relevant attributes and campaign endpoints, and an abstract distillation of campaign performance. On inside pages, hero images were designed to weave together audiences, user roles, and target industries to effectively frame the lower page content for site visitors.</li>
