Social Media Manager

VSSL is looking for a full-time social media manager who can enhance our clients’ brand through various social strategies. This person must be creative and willing to find different ways to engage different target audiences on multiple social platforms. Duties include building out social calendars, engaging customers and prospects, and providing analysis on performance for both internal strategy sessions as well as reporting to our clients. This position offers autonomy and promotes creativity within a fun & flexible environment on a small team with plenty of room for growth. The Social Media Manager will report to the Director of Demand Generation.  

VSSL designs web-based solutions rooted in expert strategy, user-friendly mentality, and proven technology. We build brands, invent campaigns, and create websites for companies ready to invest in their current internet footprint — and expand their digital future. The ideal candidate would help our company grow and would grow with our team as well.

About the Role

  • Creates and implements social strategy
  • Grows followers and engagement through a variety of channels including, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and more
  • Reports on social engagement/growth metrics for clients; manage weekly/monthly reporting and be familiar with native social insights and analytics
  • Works closely with the internal teams to ensure all requirements are being met and projects are executed accurately and efficiently 
  • Ensures social projects are delivered within scope
  • Manages social communications with clients and become the source of social media expertise

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required 
  • 3+ years of marketing experience (agency experience preferred)
  • 1-2 years of experience creating and deploying engaging content
  • Stays up-to-date on the latest marketing trends and best practices
  • Must have strong organization and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail, grammar and tone
  • Experience using social engagement tools such as Sprout Social, GaggleAMP, etc.
  • Must be able to manage high-volume of multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and timely in a remote environment
  • Ability to handle changing priorities, while meeting deadlines
  • Experience with ClickUp or similar project management software is a plus
  • Proactivity, curiosity, creativity and a sense of humor is a must
  • Local to San Diego is a plus!
